At the end of this week's email there is a calendar for August. Summer is a slower time but check out the calendar so you don't miss anything!

There are some additions & corrections to dates and times.!
Please note that the council meeting has changed to August 20th at 6 pm in the library.

Saturday, August 15th will be the Celebration of Life for Suzy Prag at 10 am in the sanctuary.   Immediately following will be the interment in the Memorial Garden and then a reception/luncheon in the Parlor (rooms 12 & 13)

This Saturday our Youth Group will travel to Mesa for a Youth gathering and volleyball tournament!  Let's wish them safe travels and good luck!

The Heat Relief Station has extended their hours! It is now open from 10 am until 8 pm.

There are printed copies of the updates in the narthex if you want to take one for someone or just want a printed copy at home.

If your group has an event or announcement that you want to include in the weekly email or want to RESERVE  room on campus just let the office know and we will pass the information on and get you on the calendar. It is very important as we get busier that we have an updated calendar.

The office is now open  Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday from 10 am - 2 pm or by appointment.

The Thrift Store is open Monday, Tuesday and Saturday from 10am - 2pm

Thanks to everyone who has joined the Thrift Store team. If anyone can be a second person occasionally  on Monday or Tuesday that would be greatly appreciated.

It's hard for one person to keep an eye on all 3 rooms.

Our journaling group meets on Tuesday @ 9:30 am at the Baldridge home (3321 W. State Ave.)

The Saturday group @ 8:30 am at MK's Donuts (4729 W Olive, Glendale)is a bible study group (Life Application Bible Study.)

Everyone is invited to join one of these groups. If you have questions see Elaine or Deb if questions on Tuesday group or Grace Turner for questions on Saturday group.

Reminder: We also have ongoing projects:Tabbies (from aluminum cans or other canned goods) for Ronald McDonald House. RMH houses parents and families from out of town who have critically ill children in local children's hospitals.

There are jars in the narthex and office to collect them. They collect tabs nationwide to support these houses at little to no cost to parents of ill children.

Change for Change: There is a 3 gallon water bottle in the lobby for your change. If your pocket or purse is feeling too heavy please empty them into the jug.

We use the change for mission projects and occasionally a bus ticket for someone coming into the office.
