At the end of this week's email there is a calendar for July and August. Summer is a slower time but check out the calendar so you don't miss anything!
There are some additions & corrections to dates and times.!

Please plan on staying for the Ice Cream Social in Hoyle after the 9:30 am service on Sunday.
Get a sundae or root beer float (or both) and see what our youth have been up to.
Hear about their mission trip to Showlow, their visits to Mission Bell and Cross in the Desert UMC churches and their plans for the future.
The Heat Relief Station has extended their hours! It is now open from 10 am until 8 pm. They are holding a

Back to School Supply Drive . If you would like to help, here is the list of items they are collecting.

Join Arizona Faith Network as we collect and distribute new school supplies for children and families served through the Family Heat Relief Center at Trinity United Methodist Church. Many of the families visiting our center are experiencing housing instability or financial hardship, and your generosity can help students begin the school year with confidence and dignity. Donated items need to be at the church by Saturday, August 1.

Every backpack, notebook, and box of crayons helps a child start the school year prepared to learn. Together, we can support local families and ensure students have the supplies they need for a successful school year.

Thank you for helping us care for our neighbors with compassion, dignity, and hope.

The emergency food bag drive is going well. We have been able to help many families with food to hold them over until payday or SNAP. If you know someone who needs some help, have them come by the office on Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday or the store on Saturday. 10 am - 2 pm. If you want to take a bag to a neighbor feel free to do that also.
At this time our greatest need is items for snack bags for the homeless. They have no place to cook so we need the following items to fill these bags:
peanut butter crackers, breakfast bars, granola bars, individual small bags of chips, cookies etc, vienna sausages or tuna pouches & applesauce cups.

Thank you so much for your response each time we reach out

There are printed copies of the updates in the narthex if you want to take one for someone or just want a printed copy at home.

If you see someone new please offer them one with the prayer requests.

If your group has an event or announcement that you want to include in the weekly email or want to RESERVE  room on campus just let the office know and we will pass the information on and get you on the calendar. It is very important as we get busier that we have an updated calendar.

The office is now open  Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday from 10 am - 2 pm or by appointment.

The Thrift Store is open Monday, Tuesday and Saturday from 10am - 2pm

Thanks to everyone who has joined the Thrift Store team. If anyone can be a second person occasionally  on Monday or Tuesday that would be greatly appreciated.

It's hard for one person to keep an eye on all 3 rooms.

Our journaling group meets on Tuesday @ 9:30 am at the Baldridge home (3321 W. State Ave.)

The Saturday group @ 8:30 am at MK's Donuts (4729 W Olive, Glendale)is a bible study group (Life Application Bible Study.)

Everyone is invited to join one of these groups. If you have questions see Elaine or Deb if questions on Tuesday group or Grace Turner for questions on Saturday group.

Reminder: We also have ongoing projects:
Tabbies (from aluminum cans) for Ronald McDonald House. RMH houses parents and families from out of town who have critically ill children in local children's hospitals.

There are jars in the narthex and office to collect them. They collect tabs nationwide to support these houses at little to no cost to parents.

Change for Change: There is a 3 gallon water bottle in the lobby for your change. If your pocket or purse is feeling too heavy please empty them into the jug.

We use the change for mission projects and occasionally a bus ticket for someone coming into the office.
